Effect of sample thickness on the tensile behaviors of Fe–30Mn–3Si–3Al twinning-induced plasticity steel

摘要: Abstract Unexpectedly, the total flow stress curves of Fe–30Mn–3Si–3Al twinning-induced plasticity steel before tensile fracture are almost overlapped with decreasing sample thickness, which is significantly different from reported results traditional metallic materials. The reason activated mechanical twins inhibit dislocation movement and refine crystalline structure.
