Severe Dupuytren's contracture of the proximal interphalangeal joint: Treatment by two-stage technique

摘要: Abstract Thirty-four patients with a Dupuytren's contracture in excess of 70° the proximal interphalangeal (PIP) joint were treated by preliminary palmar fasciotomy, release accessory collateral ligaments and PIP distraction using S-Quattro for 6 weeks. A formal fasciectomy full thickness skin graft was then performed 2 weeks after removal fixator. There mean residual flexion deformity 22° (mean correction 67°) at an average follow-up 30 months. no infections or amputations. We recommend this technique management severe joint.
