摘要: Based on evidence that suggested systemically administered local anesthetics might be useful in chronic pain, we initiated a pilot study to evaluate the activity and toxicity of mexiletene flecainide treatment cancer pain. Twenty-one courses either mexiletine or were patients with an Eastern Cooperative Oncology Group performance status three better, who suffering from pain inadequately controlled opioid analgesics. Pain control was assessed by patient questionnaires monitor benefit toxicity. In 17 cases, there no suggestion benefit. Two cases had relatively clear-cut analgesic benefit, two others some mild-to-moderate relief. Flecainide well tolerated, but appeared cause nausea and/or vomiting five eight patients. This trial suggests can relieve minority
