摘要: We obtained human cruciate ligaments at the time of total knee replacement and from autopsy amputation specimens, examined histological sections for presence mechanoreceptors using Bodian, Bielschowsky, Ranvier gold-chloride stains axons nerve-endings. The were too distorted by disease processes to be use. however, contained fusiform mechanoreceptor structures measuring 200 seventy-five micrometers, with a single axon exiting capsule receptor. One three receptors found surface each ligament beneath synovial membrane, absent joint capsules menisci. Morphologically resembled Golgi tendon organs, it seems likely that they provide proprioceptive information contribute reflexes inhibiting injurious movements knee.
