摘要: The objectives of this study were to assess the reliability a numerical rating scale (NRS) and verbal (VRS) for assessment lameness in horses determine whether they can be used interchangeably. Sixteen independent observers graded severity 20 videotaped horses, agreement between within observers, correlation bias determined each scale. agreed with other 56 per cent observations NRS 60 VRS, associated Kendall coefficient concordance was high. Similar trends evident two by observer. high both scales. There no significant differences (bias) among observers' mean scores when using either attributed scales, but plotted against their overall unacceptable clinical purposes. results indicate that VRS are only moderately reliable horse, should not
