First outer-sphere 1,3-diethyl-2-thiobarbituric compounds [M(H 2 O) 6 ](1,3-diethyl-2-thiobarbiturate) 2 ·2H 2 O (M = Co 2+ , Ni 2+ ): Crystal structure, spectroscopic and thermal properties

摘要: Abstract Two new d -element compounds, [Co(H 2 O) 6 ](Detba) ·2H O ( 1 ) and [Ni(H (HDetba – 1,3-diethyl-2-thiobarbituric acid) were synthesized characterized by single-crystal powder X-ray diffraction analysis, TG–DSC FT-IR. Structural analysis revealed that are discrete structures, in which M 2+ ion (M = Co, Ni) is six-coordinated water molecules it forms an octahedron. The outer-sphere Detba − ions H participate H⋯(O/S) intermolecular hydrogen bonds form the 2D layer. Thermal decomposition includes stage of dehydration following oxidation with a release CO , SO O, NH 3 isocyanate gases.
