摘要: An apparatus and method is provided for efficiently determining the source of problems in a complex system based on observable events. The problem identification process split into two separate activities (1) generating efficient codes (2) decoding at runtime. Various embodiments invention contemplate creating causality matrix which relates symptoms to likely system, reducing minimal codebook by eliminating redundant or unnecessary information, monitoring symptoms, comparing against using various best-fit approaches. also identifies those greatest benefit will be gained if they were monitored as compared others. By defining distance measure between codebook, can tolerate loss spurious without failure. Changing radius allows ambiguity adjusted easily. probabilistic temporal correlations monitored.
