摘要: We calculate the optical loss of composite materials, formed from statistically distributed metal nanoclusters embedded in an optically absorbing matrix material. The method includes generation cluster assemblies using a Monte-Carlo approach to account for statistical distribution clusters with respect size, shape and arrangement, which is specific sample production procedure. Subsequently, calculated within framework classical electromagnetic theory terms response spherical clusters. effects interaction between assembly are described based on solution multiple scattering problem non-absorbing host media (generalized Mie theory) extended take into absorption matrix. In contrast conventional mixing models our treatment considers both losses. demonstrate qualitative agreement coefficient experimental data.
