SOLUTION COMBUSTION SYNTHESIS OF NANOSCALE OXIDES AND THEIR COMPOSITES

摘要: Nanosize alumina, ceria, yttria, zirconia CeO 2 -ZrO (OSC), t-ZrO -Al O 3 (ZTA) and Y - ZrO (YSZ) have been prepared by the combustion of aqueous solutions containing corresponding metal nitrate, ammonium nitrate glycine redox mixtures. The is non-flaming (smoldering) yields voluminous oxides with large surface area (10-30 m g -1 ) nanosize (10-50 nm). Powder XRD TEM used to characterize products combustion.
