摘要: Abstract In the present study hydrodynamics and mixing characteristics in a novel batch rotor-stator mixer (RSM), which is very simple construction design, investigated at different rotor speeds (2000, 4000 6000 rpm). The proposed RSM design comprised of tilted jets/holes stator, for deep penetration vessel. For optimization operating as well geometrical parameters simulations are carried out using transient sliding mesh with k-e turbulence model speeds. It was observed that besides radial tangential flows jets emerging from stator holes impinge bulk fluid above below improves reduces dead zones. Further, flow such mass rate, Power number, Flow pumping efficiency energy dissipation rate increased an increase speed. found maximum swept region. amplitude fluctuations flowrate torque, blade position, characterization studied first time to predict zones RSM.
