摘要: Antithrombin III (AT III) is a major inhibitor of blood coagulation, and hereditary deficiency associated with venous thrombotic disease. The Atherosclerosis Risk in Communities (ARIC) Study, prospective study 15,800 middle-aged men women, measured AT its baseline examination. levels were significantly higher women than men, blacks whites. decreased age but increased women. In age- race-adjusted analyses, was positively smoking, HDL-cholesterol, triglycerides (men only), diabetes lipoprotein(a). negatively educational level, body mass index use female hormones Most these associations confirmed multivariate analysis. These correlations between other risk factors must be considered when evaluating as factor for or arterial thrombosis.
