摘要: Dendritic spines are dynamically regulated, both morphologically and functionally, by neuronal activity. Morphological changes mediated a variety of synaptic proteins, whereas functional can be dramatically modulated the regulation α-amino-3-hydroxy-5-methylisoxazole-4-propionate (AMPA) receptor trafficking. Although these two forms plasticity appear to highly coordinated, connections between them not fully understood. In this study cell adhesion molecule N-cadherin was found associate with AMPA receptors regulate trafficking in neurons. β-catenin formed protein complex vivo, association regulated extracellular Ca2+. addition, proteins co-clustered at synapses cultured heterologous cells neurons, overexpression wild-type specifically increased surface expression level subunit glutamate 1 (GluR1) effect reversed dominant-negative form N-cadherin. Finally, GluR1 cells. Importantly, recent studies suggest that play key roles structural Therefore, our data may serve as biochemical link synapses.
