摘要: Hereinafter disclosed is methodology and apparatus for optically reading, or recognizing, numbers on such articles as credit cards the like. According to one illustrative embodiment of invention a card having an identifying number, account consisting plurality decimal digits illuminated by source light. Reflected light from face directed through lens projected mask which has unique hole patterns therein. The reflected considerably darker than other portions card.
