Design of double-sided axe-shaped ultra-wideband antenna with reduced radar cross-section

摘要: In this study, a novel axe-shaped ultra-wideband (UWB) antenna with low-backscattering radar cross-section (RCS) is designed. The designed UWB bandwidth 3.4–15.5 GHz covering the entire band assigned for applications. RCS of reduced by modifying geometrical shape. This technique based on subtraction metal areas which have minimum current distributions surface printed antenna. Therefore backscattering modified up to 10 dB in whole frequency while maintaining radiation performance. size 0.32λ l ×0.39λ l, where λ wavelength at lower operation and fractional 128%. patterns, scattering characteristics both reference antennas are simulated experimentally verified. simulation measurement results good agreement.
