摘要: A prospective evaluation of 331 university women who were initiating use oral contraceptive pills (OCPs), a cervical cap, diaphragm-spermicide, or other spermicidal methods was done to assess the effects commonly used on vaginal flora. Vaginal introital cultures performed at baseline and then weekly for 1 month. The prevalence Escherichia coli colonization abnormal Gram stain scores (Nugent criteria) increased significantly among using cap diaphragm-spermicide but not OCPs. Women with E. more likely have an Nugent score absence lactobacilli. In multivariate model, contraception in preceding week associated coli, Enterococcus species, anaerobic gram-negative rods. Thus, are alterations microflora that consequently may predispose genitourinary infections.
