摘要: The Mossbauer effect in 57Fe has been used to study the hyperfine fields at iron sites polycrystalline samples of cubic Laves AFe2 intermetallics where A is Ce, Sm, Gd, Tb, Dy, Ho, Er, Y or Zr. spectra and Zr can be analysed terms two distinct six-line patterns, whereas those Dy Ho exhibit only one. This shown consistent with [111] [001] directions magnetization respectively. cases Gd Ce are found more complicated. An analysis results attempted on basis a simple model which direction determined by crystalline electric torques acting rare earth ions. estimate made magnetic dipole contributions local internal fields. It that this leads interaction dependent site magnetization. 161Dy DyFe2 have also followed as function temperature. parallels other work done TmFe2 allows comparison rare-earth-iron exchange these intermentallics.
