Inflammatory pseudotumors of the liver: prevalence and clinical impact in surgical patients.

摘要: Background/aims Progress in diagnostic imaging has increased the number of focal liver lesions detected and reports an occasional finding inflammatory pseudotumors are becoming numerous. To estimate their prevalence clinical impact surgical series we evaluate retrospectively our experience. Methodology Four hundred three patients carriers a total 717 underwent resection consecutively Department from October 1995 to August 1999. All these surgery. Results After resection, 3 each proved be carrying IPT nodule accounting for 0.7% all 0.4% lesions. One pseudotumor was only disclosed intraoperatively patient with hepatocellular carcinoma.
