摘要: Kisspeptins are products of the KiSS-1 gene, which bind to a G protein-coupled receptor known as GPR54. Mutations or targeted disruptions in GPR54 gene cause hypogonadotropic hypogonadism humans and mice, suggesting that kisspeptin signaling may be important for regulation gonadotropin secretion. To examine effects kisspeptin-54 (metastin) kisspeptin-10 (the biologically active C-terminal decapeptide) on secretion mouse, we administered kisspeptins directly into lateral cerebral ventricle brain demonstrated both peptides stimulate LH Further characterization it stimulated FSH secretion, at doses low 1 fmol; moreover, this effect was shown blocked by pretreatment with acyline, potent GnRH antagonist. learn more about functional anatomy kisspeptins, mapped distribution mRNA hypothalamus. We observed is expressed areas hypothalamus implicated neuroendocrine including anteroventral periventricular nucleus, arcuate nucleus. conclude kisspeptin-GPR54 part hypothalamic circuitry governs GnRH.
