摘要: Detailed measurements with hot-wires and pressure probes are presented for the interaction between a turbulent longitudinal vortex pair “common flow” down, boundary layer. The has larger value of circulation parameter, therefore better represents many aircraft/vortex interactions, than those studied previously. vortices move down towards layer, but only outer parts actually enter it. Beneath layer is thinned by lateral divergence to extent that it almost ceases grow. Outboard thickened convergence. changes in turbulence structure parameters appear be due effects “extra-rate-of-strain” produced (or convergence) free-stream turbulence. effect on (other inviscid image below surface) small. flow constitutes searching test case prediction methods three-dimensional flows.
