Optical fiber sensors: a route from University of Kent to Portugal

摘要: In this work the authors first summarily describe main topics that were subject of their post-graduate activity in fiber sensing at Applied Optics Group University Kent late 1980s and early 1990s. After return to Porto, Portugal, know-how acquired during stay collaboration paths followed between Porto instrumental start-up progress optical Portugal. The addressed field, description some relevant developments achieved recent years, present situation guidelines for future research development Portugal will be core work.
