摘要: Because many statistical methods rely on random samples, applied statisticians often need a source of “random numbers”. Older reference books for use in applications contained tables numbers, which were intended to be used selecting samples or laying out design an experiment. Statisticians now rarely printed but occasionally computer-accessed versions such are used. Far more often, however, the computer is generate “random” numbers directly.
