摘要: In order to improve the seismic capacity of a caisson type quay wall, lightweight backfill method is often used in practice. However, interaction between and not yet clear due its high complexity. this study, series centrifuge shaking tests, which strong model box was with ground made relatively dense sand, conducted investigate failure mechanism, earthquake induced earth pressure, force equilibrium, etc. Width varied as parameter. case sand backfill, active backfilled occurred, while cases two independent failures occurred regions behind caisson. Horizontal displacement during significantly decreased by because pressure reduced. Effect inverted trapezoidal decrease horizontal much higher than that rectangular backfills, when slope trapezoid milder surface sand.
