Novel biocompatible and antimicrobial supramolecular O-carboxymethyl chitosan biguanidine/zinc physical hydrogels

摘要: Zinc crosslinked supramolecular hydrogels from O-carboxymethyl chitosan biguanidine were successfully prepared. The structures of the prepared verified by 1H NMR, FTIR and XRD. FE-SEM porous structure especially at high contents Zn2+ ions. integral procedure decomposition temperatures calculated TGA curves showed that thermal stability was increased upon increasing content Cytotoxicity assays confirmed amounts ions released below toxic level towards a breast cancer cell line (MCF-7). exhibited significant microbial inhibition different species bacteria fungi, particularly Zn contents. Based on obtained interesting data, zinc/O-carboxymethyl could be used in drug delivery biomedical applications.
