摘要: Abstract For carbon capture and storage (CCS) to be a truly effective option within the efforts being made mitigate climate change, it must sustainable. An assessment is therefore required regarding how deployment of CCS will positively contribute towards achievement UN’s Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by 2030. This reviews current evidence interactions between technologies SDGs improve accessibility information relevance sustainability as mitigation technology. Implicit in SDG logic that goals depend on each other enablers for one goal may also potentially act inhibiters another goal. When evaluated against SDGs, shows several positive ‘enabling’ interactions, fundamentally ‘indivisible’ with 13 combating change. The main ‘inhibiting’ impacts are predominantly due requirement extra energy per unit electricity produced environmental associated use some systems. None inhibiting identified had ‘cancelling’ covered this assessment. sustainable combat change does not prohibit any SDG.
