摘要: Summary This study aimed to the antimicrobial effect of propolis and determine essential compounds which give it activity. The was investigated for six ethyl acetate extracts (EAPs) collected from different regions Algeria on four pathogenic strains (Shigella dysenteriae, Shigella sonnei, Staphylococcus aureus Escherichia coli) two benefit (Bifidobacterium animalis Lactobacillus rhamnosus). results obtained in this indicated that EAPs showed potential inhibitory effects tested with variable minimum concentration (MIC) values 0.3 9 mg ml−1, while beneficial bacteria resistance against propolis. demonstrated also flavonoid have very low MIC values, phenolic acid variables 1–10 mg ml−1. These contains proven substances activity are a prelude investigations at empowerment bee substance as source agents multiple outlets.
