摘要: Initiation of DNA replication is a highly regulated process in all organisms. Proteins that are required to recruit polymerase - initiator proteins often used regulate the timing or frequency initiation cell cycle by limiting either their own synthesis availability. Studies Escherichia coli chromosome and bacterial plasmids with iterated binding sites (iterons) have revealed that, addition limitation, origin inactivation prevent untimely excessive. Our recent studies plasmid P1 this additional mode control becomes requirement when availability limited only autoregulation. Thus, although limitation appears be well-conserved central control, optimal might require mechanisms. This review gives examples how multiple mechanisms can act synergistically, antagonistically partially redundant guarantee low events. The lessons learned likely help understand many other regulatory systems cell.
