摘要: Laminins are the major constituents of blood vessel basement membranes (BMs). Each laminin is a trimer consisting three assembled polypeptide chains, alpha, beta and gamma. More than 15 isoforms known to date expression specific may change in certain pathological conditions. Here we show that during progression glial tumors laminin-9 (alpha4beta2gamma1) switched laminin-8 (alpha4beta1gamma1), which dramatically increased brain tumors. Laminin-8 overproduction by tumor cells facilitates spread glioma. Brain with overexpression recur faster after standard treatment patients have shorter survival time. be thus used as predictor recurrence, patient potential molecular target for glioma therapy.
