摘要: We present new ultraviolet spectra of the hottest known, peculiar white dwarf H1504+65, obtained with Cosmic Origins Spectrograph on Hubble Space Telescope. H1504+65 is known (Teff=200 000 K) and has an atmosphere mainly composed by carbon oxygen, augmented high amounts neon magnesium. This object unique origin its surface chemistry completely unclear. probably see naked core either a C–O or even O–Ne–Mg dwarf. In latter case, this would be first proof that such dwarfs can outcome single-star evolution. The observations were performed to shed light mysterious object.
