摘要: Abstract The aim of this study was to determine the effects inclusion yellow strawberry guava leaf extract (SGLE) as an additive in laying diets on productive performance, immunity, metabolism, and antioxidant response semi-heavy hens (Isa Brown), well its egg quality. Five treatments with different SGLE levels (0.0, 0.05, 0.10, 0.15, 0.20/kg feed), five repetitions per treatment, three birds repetition were used. addition increasing linearly reduced total bacterial count (TBC) feces. number leukocytes lower blood chickens that consumed due heterophiles, eosinophils lymphocytes. diet stimulated activity glutathione S-transferase serum lipid peroxidation (LPO) levels. A linear effect fresh eggs observed, is, we recorded TBC Escherichia coli counts shells, greater capacity (ACAP) yolk. In stored for four weeks, founder albumen pH LPO yolks when SGLE, associated specific gravity ACAP yolks. conclusion produced better quality eggs, characterized by internal oxidative stability less contamination shell, both which desirable from standpoint consumer.
