摘要: Publisher Summary This chapter focuses on two-suction electrode voltage-clamp recording. The use of suction electrodes to implement a two-electrode voltage clamp offers advantages over conventional intracellular microelectrode-based systems. These derive from the lower resistance and greater mechanical stability recording configuration. In general, because microelectrode tends be limiting factor in clamp, low-resistance or patch improves quality However, serious drawback is that solution quickly lost interior. also illustrates basic principle clamp. One used measure potential across membrane clamped. subtracted desired giving an error voltage. inverted, amplified, applied second drives current into cell until zero.
