摘要: Propolis is a resinous hive product collected by honeybees from various plant sources. It extensively used in food, beverage and folk medicine for treating ailments reported to have broad spectrum of biological activities. The hepatoprotective activity propolis constituents its MeOH extract belonging classes were tested on D-galactosamine (D-GalN)/tumor necrosis factor-alpha (TNF-alpha)-induced cell death primary cultured mouse hepatocytes. result indicated that alcoholic tropical Brazilian mainly due phenolic compounds including flavonoids. All the four isolated flavonoids possessed stronger inhibitory (IC50, < 25 microM) than silibinin 39.6 TNF-alpha-induced death. labdane-type diterpenes also exhibited significant same experimental model. Moreover, some prenylated antibacterial against Helicobacter pylori.
