摘要: BACKGROUND: Amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS or Lou Gehrig’s disease) is a neurodegenerative disease that results in progressive muscle weakness and wasting. There no known cure the uniformly fatal. PURPOSE: This review discusses current concepts ALS care, from breaking diagnosis to end-of-life care. People with have several multidisciplinary needs due complex dynamic process. They benefit rehabilitation interventions are individualized goal of optimizing independence, function, safety. These strategies also help minimize symptomatic burden maximize quality life. CONCLUSION: Patient-centered, care has significant impact on life people standard for this patient population.
