摘要: In recent times, significant effort has been made to understand the mechanical behaviour of arterial wall and how it is affected by different vascular pathologies. However, be able interpret results correctly, essential that influence other factors, such as aging or anisotropy, understood. Knowledge aorta customarily constrained lack data on fresh aortic tissue, especially from healthy young individuals. addition, information regarding point rupture also very limited. this study, descending thoracic 28 organ donors with no apparent disease, whose ages vary 17 60 years, evaluated. Tensile tests up are carried out evaluate age anisotropy. Results reveal tensile strength stretch at failure aortas show a reduction age, falling abruptly beyond 30. This fact places key factor when properties considered.
