摘要: Emission of odours during the thermal drying in sludge handling processes is one main sources odour problems wastewater treatment plants. The objective this work was to assess use response surface methodology as a technique optimize chemical conditioning process undigested sewage sludges, order improve dewaterability, and reduce emissions sludge. Synergistic effects between inorganic conditioners (iron chloride calcium oxide) were observed terms sulphur reduction. developed quadratic models indicated that optimizing dosage possible increase 70% reducing 50% 54% emission volatile compounds respectively. optimization validated experimentally.
