摘要: The often observed absence of carboxyhaemoglobin in burnt (charred) bodies is re-discussed the light two new cases which inhalation very hot gases obviously led to reflex breathing and circulation arrest. (Macro microscopic evaluations upper respiratory tract can give significant information as whether a person was still alive at time fire outbreak.) In cadaver blood people who survived given period after fire, high methaemoglobin values (up 37%) were found. This caused by nitrogen oxides that produced burning plastic.
