摘要: . Purpose: To study the influence of cataract on peripheral and central colour contrast sensitivity. Methods: Peripheral sensitivity was measured with a computer graphics system along protan, deutan tritan axes. Included were 30 patients divided into three sub-groups: cortical cataract, nuclear sclerosis posterior subcapsular cataract. Colour before after operation. Results: There significant differences in thresholds comparing preoperative postoperative results. This difference existed even (n=19) pre-operative visual acuity ≥0.5 (mean 0.6). The axis one most affected by no between sub-groups. Also, Again, one. We also found large normal subjects values from group all poorer pseudophakes than normals. groups different IOL material used (PMMA, acrylic silicone). protan axis, having best sensitivity. Conclusion: when only moderately developed. finding is importance should be considered method to other eye diseases e.g. glaucoma. Central have seemed for contrast.
