摘要: A mechanochemical method was applied to prepare bismuth oxybromide (BiOBr) nanoplates using nitrate pentahydrate and potassium bromide for 15 (A15), 30 (A30) 60 (A60) minutes. Scanning electron microscopy studies showed that all the products were comprised of nanoplates. Aggregated along with microblocks observed A15 A30 entire morphology not homogenous. The A60 uniform consisted thin isolated Evaluation X-ray diffraction patterns purity crystallinity improved by increasing milling time. energy dispersive analysis confirmed high products. Fourier transform infrared spectroscopy, photoluminescence spectroscopy nitrogen adsorption–desorption Brunauer–Emmett–Teller technique also used study Diffuse reflectance clarified samples indirect band gap semiconductors 3.25 eV narrow 2.74 eV A60. Photocatalytic revealed has highest photocatalytic activity among effect oxygen vacancies, surface defects, on or photosensitized degradation rhodamine B (RhB) pentachlorophenol (PCP) aqueous solutions studied.
