摘要: We report two cases, with overlapping cyto-histological characteristics, of invasive neuroendocrine carcinoma the breast associated stromal features distinctive osteoclastic giant cells. Fine-needle aspiration cytology showed monomorphic, medium-sized, mildly atypical neoplastic cells, interspersed multinucleated cells and lympho-histiocytic components; hemosiderin deposits were also appreciable. Macroscopic typical carcinoma, but unusual brown staining. Light microscopy revealed moderately differentiated mainly composed solid sheets round to polygonal medium-sized a tendency produce peripheral palisading (carcinoid-like morphology); osteoclast-like lymphocytes histiocytes dispersed only among tumour in stroma cells; this was characterised by reactive/fibroblastic features, hypervascularization, extravasated blood that gave rise staining seen macroscopically. Immunohistochemically, cancer diffusely positive for marker synaptophisin partial chromogranin NSE staining; ostoclastic cell histiocyte component strongly CD68. Both cases had lymph node metastases; epithelial regards markers, primitive tumour, histiocytic/giant appeared present, although lower degree, while absent. Breast carcinomas, osteoclastic-like our knowledge, have not been reported.
