摘要: The Czech ELSPAC study was set up as a part of the European Longitudinal Study Pregnancy and Childhood (ELSPAC). designed population-based prospective longitudinal birth cohort to investigate effects biological, psychosocial, economic environmental factors on pregnancy, delivery subsequent child´s development health. initiated by World Health Organization (WHO) Regional Office for Europe in 1985, with aim enrol 40 000 children across Europe. Seven independent centres—ALSPAC, Isle Man, Republic, Slovakia, Ukraine, Greece Russia—joined project, coordinated Professor Golding at Bristol University, UK. coordination centre also responsible most protocol development, including follow-up planning questionnaire design. Enrolment participants started 1991. In addition primary aims ELSPAC, team interested profound socioeconomic changes related societal transformation after fall Communism 1989.
