摘要: Abstract Automobile gasoline demand can be expressed as a multiplicative function of fuel efficiency, mileage per car and ownership. This implies linear relationship between the price elasticity total elasticities In this meta-analytical study we aim to investigate explain variation in empirical estimates demand. A methodological novelty is that use develop estimation approach based on Seemingly Unrelated Regression (SUR) model with Cross Equation Restrictions. enables us combine observations different thus increase our sample size. Furthermore, it allows for more detailed interpretation meta-regression results. The results demonstrate SUR leads precise (i.e., lower standard errors) than approach. We find that, mean short run long − 0.34 − 0.84, respectively, not very sensitive. Both run, impact change mainly driven by responses efficiency slightly lesser degree changes characteristics relating geographic area studied, year study, type data used, time horizon functional specification equation have significant estimated value
