Experimental evaluation on high temperature rheological properties of various fiber modified asphalt binders

摘要: High temperature rheological properties of fiber modified asphalt binders and impact the type content on such were studied. Three types fiber, including polyester (PET), polyacrylonitrile (PAN) cellulose (CEL), a control (0%) four levels (2%, 4%, 6% 8% by total binder mass) used with binders. The high properties, consisting complex modulus (G*) phase angle δ, measured using SHRP’s dynamic shear rheometer (DSR) between 46–82 °C. Experimental results indicate that changes G* tan δ increase test tend to slow down, susceptibility is improved obviously compared original binder. Fiber modification in rutting parameter (G*/sin δ) at temperatures, decrease susceptibility, further performance An excellent correlation exhibits Moreover, also has different influences improvement G*/sin PET PAN are both higher than CEL but still asphalt. However, there critical when fibers start interact each other. Therefore, based economic consideration, optimum contents for various fiber-modified obtained.
