摘要: Abstract The urachus is a tubular structure that extends cranially from the anterior dome of bladder to umbilicus. Urachal anomalies (UA) formation results incomplete involution this embryonic structure, leading various pathologies. Congenital UA can be divided into five groups: patent urachus, umbilical-urachal sinus, vesicourachal diverticulum, urachal cyst, and alternating sinus. Typically, detected around birth, while other congenital tend asymptomatic. Due relatively rare incidence presenting symptoms mirroring intraabdominal or pelvic diseases, not typically considered in differential diagnosis. When viewed differential, diagnosis acquired remnant diseases elusive because heterogeneous clinical presentation no uniform protocol. Herein, we provide comprehensive review embryology, anatomy, manifestations, current trends diagnostic evaluation management UA, with an emphasis on pediatrics.
