摘要: A large variety of pure {beta}-Ni(OH){sub 2} and cobalt-substituted nickel hydroxides Ni{sub 1{minus}x}Co{sub x}(OH){sub well-controlled chemical composition, particle size, morphology have been prepared characterized by x-ray, transmission electron microscopy, electrochemical, Raman spectrometry studies. The hydroxide size its Co-substituted content were found to govern the Ni-electrode capacity. Once these parameters controlled, {beta}-nickel specimens able reversibly exchange more than one per metal atom (Ni + Co) routinely prepared. {beta}-Ni{sub spectra consists five lines. intensities ones located at 3,605 515 cm{sup {minus}1} change as a function Co content.
