摘要: The role of type IIA receptor protein tyrosine phosphatases (RPTPs), which includes LAR, RPTPσ and RPTPδ, in the nervous system is becoming increasingly recognized. Evidence supports a significant for these RPTPs during development as well after injury, mutations are associated with human disease. However, major open question nature ligands that interact adult brain. Candidates include several different proteins glycosaminoglycan chains proteoglycans. In order to investigate this problem, we used affinity probe assay RPTPσ-AP fusion on sections mouse brain cultured neurons. Our results demonstrate binding sites neurons not proteoglycan GAG chains, overlaps neuronal marker NeuN was significantly altered by treatments eliminate chondroitin sulfate, heparan or both. We also no overlap perineuronal nets, unique modulation divalent cations. data therefore point proteins, rather than CSPGs, being adult, uninjured
