摘要: A process for bleaching high bulk cellulosic fiber and producing a durable elevated curl index includes: (a) concurrently bleaching, heat treating convolving cellulosic pulp at elevated temperature pressure consistency generally under conditions selected so as to preclude substantial fibrillation and attendant paper strength bonding development; (b) recovering the pulp wherein length weighted of treated is least about 20% higher than prior treatment and convolving thereof. Preferably, imparted persists upon treatment for 30 minutes in laboratory disintegrator 3000 rpm 1% consistency a temperature 125°F. Moreover, may be disk refiner very short residence times, on order several seconds or less. In general, carried out presence saturated steam of from 5 150 psig.
