摘要: In a standing-wave coupled-cavity linear particle accelerator the energy of emergent particles can be adjusted by making accelerating fields in one section different from those another into which rf drive power is introduced. To do this adjoining end cavities two sections are coupled through "side" cavity not traversed beam. The coupling coefficients side to made unequal create difference fields. Asymmetrical realized varying extension center conductor posts means vacuum sealed mechanism for moving while maintaining microwave current connection between and cavity.
