摘要: The factors affecting long-term survival following oesophagectomy for oesophageal cancer are poorly understood. We examined the significance of microscopic tumour involvement at circumferential resection margin (CRM) on postoperative oesophagectomy. case notes 329 patients who underwent a potentially curative squamous or adenocarcinoma were reviewed retrospectively. As part procedure, all an en-bloc their periesophageal tissue. presence either at, within, 1 mm CRM was recorded and correlated with TNM data. A total 67 (20%) noted to have positive CRM, which 40 cases (12%) had remainder within margin. Univariate analysis showed no statistically significant association between category involvement. Multivariate that only T-stage, nodal status grade prognostic markers. In conclusion, is not marker.
