摘要: With soaring energy demands, the desire to explore alternate and renewable resources has become focal point of various active research fronts. Therefore, scientific community is revisiting notion tap wind in more rigorous novel ways. In this study, a two-dimensional computational investigation vertical axis turbine (VAWT) with omni-direction-guide-vane (ODGV) proposed determine effects guide vane. addition, mesh time step (dt) size dependency test, as well effect different turbulence models on results accuracy are investigated. Eight shape ratios (R) were also examined study. Further, CFD model validated by comparing numerical experimental data. Validation show good agreement terms trend simulation. Based these results, all ratios, except two including 0.3 0.4 at TSR 1.3 3, have positive power torque coefficient improvement. Moreover, that best case ratio 0.55, which improves 48% up 58%.
