Memcapacitor and Meminductor Circuit Emulators: A Review

摘要: In 1971, Prof. L. Chua theoretically introduced a new circuit element, which exhibited different behavior from that displayed by any of the three known passive elements: resistor, capacitor or inductor. This element was called memristor, since its corresponded to resistor with memory. Four decades later, concept mem-elements extended other two elements definition constitutive equations both memcapacitors and meminductors. Since then, non-linear non-volatile properties these devices have attracted interest many researches trying develop wide range applications. However, lack solid-state implementations meminductors make it necessary rely on emulators for use investigation in practical implementations. On this basis, review gathers current main alternatives presented literature emulation Different been thoroughly analyzed compared detail, providing approaches could be considered implementation future designs.
