摘要: Abstract Enveloped whole virions and nucleocapsids of human herpesvirus 6 (HHV-6) strain Z29 were purified from supernatant fluids infected cord blood lymphocytes by filtration through polyvinylpyrrolidone-treated filters, banding on a Nycondenz step gradient, centrifugation two successive continuous sucrose gradients. More than 20 proteins ranging in molecular weight less 30,000 to more 200,000 identified preparations labeled with [35S]methionine [35S]cysteine. Immunogenic virion HHV-6 immunoblot assays immune sera, sera generated mice immunized or nucleocapsids, monoclonal antibody mouse nucleocapsids. The the reacted strongly 101-kilodalton protein immunoblots, suggesting that is component nucleocapsid. Human lacking HHV-6-specific antibodies seropositive for one other herpesviruses failed react this protein, indicating it specific serologic marker infection.
